Initiated by Senator Jimmy Higdon at the request of a military family living in his district, Military Kids Day is an annual event that allows children of the military to participate in the legislative process for a day. Hosted by the Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committee, children are invited to go on a Capitol Campus tour, attend committee meetings related to military issues, hear from Legislators and Consitutional officers, and participate in other fun activities.
