As part of the Legislative Research Commission, we follow the mission of providing nonpartisan research and support for the General Assembly and to encourage participation in positive health outcomes by the citizens of Kentucky. Our office's mission is to align with the LRC's mission with a focus on all health-related topics, including but not limited to:

On this page you will find interactive visuals of different health-related topics. The Kentucky Chronic Disease dashboard shows estimates of the prevalence of different chronic disease areas across Kentucky's counties. The U.S. Chronic Disease dashboard showcases estimates of the proportion of a population with a given chronic disease across the U.S. from 2011-2024. Using these visuals, you can see a snapshot of health in both Kentucky and the US. The Medicaid Quality Measures dashboard shows how states compare to one another on Medicaid quality measures from 2024. The Maternal Child Health dashboard contains information on different topics within maternal child health, such as pediatric health measures and hospitalization data as well as birth rate data. These visuals can be viewed by using the navigation buttons to the right.
